Giovanni Giordano, Principal

Giovanni is a successful international Human Resources executive who has wide leadership experience in International Fortune 50 and FTSE 10 companies.

Most recently, from 2011 to 2019, he was Group HR Director (CHRO) at British American Tobacco (FTSE 10) leading the Human Capital agenda through the most dynamic period that the industry has ever encountered. Working with the CEO, the executive team and the board, Giovanni led critical work to attract and develop outstanding talent and creating an engaging, productive work environment essential to drive BAT’s ambition to “transform tobacco” and provide consumers with reduced-risk choices.

He joined BAT from Ferrero International, where he was Chief Corporate Officer leading global HR, Legal and IT.

Giovanni started his career in Procter & Gamble where he worked for 18 years in a variety of HR roles around the world. His most recent P&G assignment, based in the US, was HR Director for global Health and Well Being. He also contributed to integrating P&G’s largest acquisitions such as Wella and Gillette.

Giovanni is a US and Italian citizen and lives in the United Kingdom.
